The aquifers (permeable units) are potential water-bearing units that were mapped out based on available geologic information. Aquitards, or low permeability units, exist between, above or beneath these units. The permeable units have been classified into major or minor aquifers by combining permeable units that are hydrogeologically similar, near to each other, and/or likely to be hydraulically connected. The units have also been categorized into three depth intervals: 'unconfined' (no aquitard above), 'confined' or 'deep confined'. The data was generated by Golder Associates (2005) and the associated report, "Comprehensive Groundwater Modelling Assignment", in available in the Township's Engineering Library.

|
